I might be addicted to subscription boxes. Seriously, what's not to love about them? It's like getting a surprise in the mail every month! I originally joined Ipsy a few years ago, and I was considering canceling. I had a huge bin full of samples, and I really didn't need any more. Then Ipsy began offering the Glam Bag Plus and the Glam Bag Ultimate. With the Glam Bag Plus you get 5 full size beauty and makeup items for $25. The total value of each box is $120 or more and you get to pick one item each month.

Interested in what comes inside a Glam Bag Plus? Let me tell you about what came in my box this month:
  •  Sweet Chef - Fresh Pressed Sheet Masks in Kale + Vitamin B, Beet + Vitamin A, and Ginger + Vitamin C. Retail Price: $10.50
    • I love sheet masks, so I was very happy to get these. I've never tried this brand before, so I'm excited to give them a whirl.
  •  Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation in Fair. Retail Price: $40
    • I received a sample of this in a different subscription box, and I absolutely loved it. This was on my list to buy next time I need foundation, so this was a huge score in this month's box!
  •  Belle En Argent Auteur Matte Lip Color in 3 Plays. Retail Price: $26
    • I have this lipstick in a dark berry shade, and it is a really nice lipstick. It's creamy and has good pigment. I'm looking forward to giving this pretty neutral shade a try.
  • Dominque Cosmetics Sweater Weather Eyeshadow Palette. Retail Price: $29
    • I have a huge collection of eyeshadow palettes, but I'm always up for another one. These are neutral, matte shades that blend pretty well without a lot of fallout. I'll be going to this palette a lot in the future.
  •  Il Makiage Inkliner in Black. Retail Price: $21
    •  I got really excited when I first saw this box because I thought it was the mascara. The Il Makiage mascara is probably my favorite mascara, so I was a little disappointed to see that it was a liquid liner. Nothing against liquid eyeliners, but I needed more mascara! This has a super fine point, so you can get a very delicate cat-eye look with this. It is very easy to use for a liquid liner, so it will be great if you're a newbie.
The total retail value of my box for February is $126.50. Overall a great value for the $25 cost. The Wander Beauty Foundation alone made this box worth it for me since I would have been spending $40 to purchase the foundation. I am very happy with my box this month, and I'm looking forward to next months.

Charcuterie Board for Two

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I am really missing having parties and gatherings with friends. Even going out to eat isn't an option for most people. Just because we can't have a bunch of people over doesn't mean we can't have our own personal party! One of my favorite things about a party is a charcuterie board. I can't wait to share my tips with you, so let's jump right in and start our party for two! To start you'll need a board and a couple of small bowls or jars. Little bowls are perfect for nuts, jams, and spreads. You may also need a small spoon or cheese knife depending on what you decide to add to your board. Once you've got that, it's time to decide what to put on your board.  Since this is a board for two, I like to forget about the "rules" of what you should have. Ipsy Glam Bag X May 2021

 I finally decided to go for it and add the quarterly Glam Bag X. After seeing what everyone has been getting in past boxes, I had to go for it! This box adds an additional $30 to your subscription cost quarterly, so it's $55 each quarter. Each quarter a new celebrity or makeup pro will curate the boxes. The May box is filled with Kloe' Kardashian's favorite items. Check out what I got in my box! 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster.  Retail Price $135.00 I think each box comes with at least one really expensive luxury item, and this was what was included in my box. The booster serum can be mixed with your moisturizer to give your skin a dewy glow. It is brightens and hydrates skin and has tiny little gold sparkles in it. Although this is a great product, I was disappointed with this. I was really hoping to get the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've really been wanting to try it.
