Ipsy Glam Bag X May 2021

 I finally decided to go for it and add the quarterly Glam Bag X. After seeing what everyone has been getting in past boxes, I had to go for it!

This box adds an additional $30 to your subscription cost quarterly, so it's $55 each quarter. Each quarter a new celebrity or makeup pro will curate the boxes. The May box is filled with Kloe' Kardashian's favorite items. Check out what I got in my box!

  • 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster. Retail Price $135.00
    • I think each box comes with at least one really expensive luxury item, and this was what was included in my box. The booster serum can be mixed with your moisturizer to give your skin a dewy glow. It is brightens and hydrates skin and has tiny little gold sparkles in it. Although this is a great product, I was disappointed with this. I was really hoping to get the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've really been wanting to try it. Plus I already have 2 bottles of this 111Skin serum. I guess a lucky friend will be getting this one.
  • Complex Culture Rose Quarter Gua Sha. Retail Price $28.00
    • You can use this sculpting stone to massage your face and neck to help reduce swelling and reduce tension. I've been seeing lots of people using this, so I'm excited to see if it works. I find my face is really puffy in the mornings, so maybe this will do the trick. 
  • Patrick Starrr Visionary Eyeshadow Palette. Retail Price $42.00
    • This palette has 15 shades that range from neutrals to some brighter colors and includes shimmer finishes and matte. This palette seems relatively basic compared to some that I've received in the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus.
  • Herbivore Botanicals Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial. Retail Price $58.00
    • I really love this brand, and I'm very excited to try this mask! Alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy are used to help smooth and soften skin. It's supposed to be like getting a professional facial at home. 
  • Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip in Orchid. Retail Price $19.00
    • Tarte makes some of my favorite cosmetics, so I know I'll love this product. This is a tinted gloss that gives lips a shiny finish and is a lightly tinted mauve color. It is so pretty!
  • MAC Love Me Lipstick in Bated Breath. Retail Price $21.00
    • I used to be addicted to all things MAC. It was the first brand that I really splurged on. They make great lipsticks, and I'm sure this one is no exception. The color is a warm pinkish brown. It is moisturizing and provides great color!
  • Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment. Retail Price $28.00
    • I've never used Olaplex products, but I have heard a lot of great things about them. This treatment is applied to dry hair and left to sit before rinsing out. It is supposed to help strengthen hair and add shine.
  • Kosas The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara. Retail Price $28.00
    • In addition to adding volume and thickness to lashes, this mascara is also good for them! Vitamins and peptides strengthen and moisturize lashes. I've been hunting for the perfect mascara, so maybe this is on the one!




Overall, I am happy that I upgraded to the Glam Bag X. Although I didn't get all of the products I was hoping for, part of the fun is being surprised! My Ipsy Glam Bag X total came to $359! Charcuterie Board for Two

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I am really missing having parties and gatherings with friends. Even going out to eat isn't an option for most people. Just because we can't have a bunch of people over doesn't mean we can't have our own personal party! One of my favorite things about a party is a charcuterie board. I can't wait to share my tips with you, so let's jump right in and start our party for two! To start you'll need a board and a couple of small bowls or jars. Little bowls are perfect for nuts, jams, and spreads. You may also need a small spoon or cheese knife depending on what you decide to add to your board. Once you've got that, it's time to decide what to put on your board.  Since this is a board for two, I like to forget about the "rules" of what you should have.
