Ipsy Glambag Plus June 2021

This month's Glambag was all about the skincare products. It was pretty light as far as makeup goes, but that's okay with me! I tend to wear a lot less makeup during the summer months. Keep on reading to see my goodies!

  • Apto Skincare Pomegranate Moisturizer. Retail Price $22.00
    • This is a clean beauty product that not only moisturizes, it smooths and plumps skin as well. Who doesn't want that? I'll be giving this product a try very soon since I'm almost out of my current moisturizer.
  • Serumkind Purple Cabbage Drop. Retail Price $49.00
    • This serum calms and nourishes the skin with purple cabbage extract (high in antioxidants!). I tested a little on my hand, and it was thicker than I anticipated. It absorbed really well, but it took a few minutes, so I'd wait a little while before putting moisturizer on. It does have a very strong perfume-like smell. I'm guessing that is from the purple cabbage extract.
  • Feel Beauty Vitamin E Balm. Retail Price $24.00
    • This lip balm is high in vitamin E which is also an antioxidant. It uses castor seed oil and sunflower wax to help keep your lips nice and moisturized. I love lip balms, and I get a lot of them. I can't wait to see if this one is worth the hefty price tag!
  • SLMISSGLAM Rainbow Luxe Brush Set. Retail Price $60.00
    • This set comes with 5 brushes (2 face brushes and 3 shadow brushes). These are not as pricey as some other sets I've received, but they are $12 each. They feel like they are very nice quality and they are very soft. If they preform well, then they are definitely worth the price. And they are so pretty!
  • RealHer Power Wear Probiotic Foundation. Retail Price $36.00
    • This is the only makeup product I received this month, and it's a good one! Foundations are expensive, so I'm always excited to get one in my Glambag. It gives me the opportunity to test out something new without breaking the bank on something I may not like that much. I received the color I Am Extraordinary which is the lightest shade. I swatched it on my hand, and it may be a little too light for me. I've been using a slightly darker foundation lately since I've been using self tanners. I might have to use this as a winter foundation. It dried very matte and feels nice on my skin, so this could be a winner.

Summer is almost here and I'm ready to spend some time at the pool, so of course that means I need some new swimsuits! I used to be obsessed with Victoria's Secret Swim, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much this year. Is it just me, or have their prices increased drastically? Charcuterie Board for Two

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I am really missing having parties and gatherings with friends. Even going out to eat isn't an option for most people. Just because we can't have a bunch of people over doesn't mean we can't have our own personal party! One of my favorite things about a party is a charcuterie board. I can't wait to share my tips with you, so let's jump right in and start our party for two! To start you'll need a board and a couple of small bowls or jars. Little bowls are perfect for nuts, jams, and spreads. You may also need a small spoon or cheese knife depending on what you decide to add to your board. Once you've got that, it's time to decide what to put on your board.  Since this is a board for two, I like to forget about the "rules" of what you should have. Ipsy Glam Bag X May 2021

 I finally decided to go for it and add the quarterly Glam Bag X. After seeing what everyone has been getting in past boxes, I had to go for it! This box adds an additional $30 to your subscription cost quarterly, so it's $55 each quarter. Each quarter a new celebrity or makeup pro will curate the boxes. The May box is filled with Kloe' Kardashian's favorite items. Check out what I got in my box! 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster.  Retail Price $135.00 I think each box comes with at least one really expensive luxury item, and this was what was included in my box. The booster serum can be mixed with your moisturizer to give your skin a dewy glow. It is brightens and hydrates skin and has tiny little gold sparkles in it. Although this is a great product, I was disappointed with this. I was really hoping to get the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've really been wanting to try it.
