Ipsy Glam Bag X August 2021

This is my second Ipsy Glam Bag X, and I'm excited to try out some new products! If you upgrade your regular Ipsy Glam Bag Plus, then once a quarter (May, August, November, February) you get a larger bag curated by a celebrity or makeup guru. The August bag was curated by Halsey. She always has new and exciting makeup looks, so I bet there will be some unique items. Let's check out what I got!

  • Herbivore Botanicals Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil. Retail Price $48.00
    • I have really been loving this brand. Everything I've tried has been amazing! This oil has hemp seed oil, squalane, tumeric root, and ashwagandha. These help to nourish and soothe skin, and provide loads of moisturize.  Although $48 seems high, it is a very reasonable price compared to most face oils I've tried. Plus, you only need a few drops, so it will last for a really long time! You can use it morning and night. I think this will be a great addition to my skin routine.
  • Wander Beauty Skyliner Automatic Gel Eyeliner. Retail Price $21.00
    • I got this in Napa Nights which is plum-colored with some shimmer. I generally use black eyeliners, but a deep purple like this would be my second choice. It is supposed to really stay in place - no smudging or smearing.
  • Athr Beauty Moonlight Crystal Palette. Retail Price $58.00
    • This palette is filled with beautiful crystal-colored shadows. Coconut oil helps the color to glide on smoothly. You can also apply these as a dry shadow or wet shadow. You can even add a little oil for a cream shadow. Talk about versatile!
  • About-Face Light Lock Highlight Fluid. Retail Price $32.00
    • I received this in the color Fight or Flight which has a pinkish shimmer to it. You can use this over or under your makeup or mix it into your foundation for an all-over glow.  This is a really pretty liquid highlighter, but I may gift this to a friend. I have so many highlighters that I would hate for this gorgeous product to go to waste.
  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial. Retail Price $40.00
    • I love Glow Recipe and their watermelon products smell so amazing! I've used the sleeping mask before and the body lotion. It smells so fresh! This mask helps to exfoliate skin and get rid of all the gunk that can clog your pores. I'm ready to give this a try!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk Medium. Retail Price $22.00
    • This is the product I'm most excited about! I've used the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in the original Pillow Talk and I absolutely love it. While $22 is pretty expensive for a lip liner, it is so worth it! This one is a little darker than the original which will be perfect for the fall.
  • Dr. Brandt Skincare Do Not Age Time Defying Cream. Retail Price $132.00
    • This is the priciest item in this month's bag. I have tried many Dr. Brandt Skincare products, and I really like this brand. I am very into anti-aging skincare products, so I'm excited to try this one. This cream helps to smooth, firm, and lift the skin. We will see if it's worth the price!
  • Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara. Retail Price $24.00
    • I got the color Cuz I'm Black which is a black mascara that helps to create major volume. Lashes will look thicker and longer and it's waterproof! I'm so excited to get another Fenty Beauty product in my Glam Bag!

Summer is almost here and I'm ready to spend some time at the pool, so of course that means I need some new swimsuits! I used to be obsessed with Victoria's Secret Swim, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much this year. Is it just me, or have their prices increased drastically? Charcuterie Board for Two

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I am really missing having parties and gatherings with friends. Even going out to eat isn't an option for most people. Just because we can't have a bunch of people over doesn't mean we can't have our own personal party! One of my favorite things about a party is a charcuterie board. I can't wait to share my tips with you, so let's jump right in and start our party for two! To start you'll need a board and a couple of small bowls or jars. Little bowls are perfect for nuts, jams, and spreads. You may also need a small spoon or cheese knife depending on what you decide to add to your board. Once you've got that, it's time to decide what to put on your board.  Since this is a board for two, I like to forget about the "rules" of what you should have. Ipsy Glam Bag X May 2021

 I finally decided to go for it and add the quarterly Glam Bag X. After seeing what everyone has been getting in past boxes, I had to go for it! This box adds an additional $30 to your subscription cost quarterly, so it's $55 each quarter. Each quarter a new celebrity or makeup pro will curate the boxes. The May box is filled with Kloe' Kardashian's favorite items. Check out what I got in my box! 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster.  Retail Price $135.00 I think each box comes with at least one really expensive luxury item, and this was what was included in my box. The booster serum can be mixed with your moisturizer to give your skin a dewy glow. It is brightens and hydrates skin and has tiny little gold sparkles in it. Although this is a great product, I was disappointed with this. I was really hoping to get the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've really been wanting to try it.
